Supporting Those Heroes Who Advocate for Abused and Neglected Children

CASA For Children

At Scheffey, the holiday season is about sharing what we have with those who are doing great things for others. Each year, we choose an organization and make a donation as a special thank you to our clients. We have practiced this tradition for years and this holiday season we chose to support the local chapter of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Children.

CASA For Children trains volunteers across the nation to become an advocate for abused or neglected kids in the foster care system. This program ensures that these children do not have to carry the responsibility of attending court hearings, adjusting to new foster homes, and transitioning to new schools alone. Their advocate is someone to build a stable, healthy relationship with them throughout their time in the system.

Giving children a better chance to be safe, have a permanent home, and have the opportunity to thrive are simple luxuries that are not afforded to every child. So, we are honored to support such an important cause. Learn more about who they are, what they do, and read some of the success stories of the young people whose lives were changed. casaforchildren.org
